Resident in Counseling

Victoria Bergman, M.Ed.

Victoria Bergman, M.Ed. is a Resident in Counseling in the Commonwealth of Virginia, dedicated to creating a welcoming and safe therapeutic environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Victoria earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Virginia. She is currently pursuing her Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) Certification to further support individuals in recovery.

With over three years of specialized experience in the substance use field, Victoria has worked across residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings. She has provided both individual and group therapy to clients navigating some of the most vulnerable stages of their lives.

Victoria’s therapeutic approach is person-centered and collaborative, drawing from a wide range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is committed to fostering an authentic and supportive relationship with each client, believing that healing, resilience, and growth are possible regardless of life’s challenges.

In addition to her clinical work in substance use treatment, Victoria has spent the past three years serving as a manager of patient care and clinical operations at a center specializing in treatment-resistant depression. She takes great pride in helping clients reconnect with themselves and rediscover joy through their talents and interests. Victoria views therapy as a powerful responsibility—one that holds the potential to positively transform lives and communities.

Her areas of clinical specialties include working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and challenges related to body dysmorphia, self-esteem, school-related stress, and life transitions. She also provides affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients and has experience supporting individuals with OCD and ADHD. In addition to individual therapy, she offers couples counseling, group therapy, and family counseling. Victoria works with clients ages 16 and older, including young adults and older adults.

Outside of her professional work, Victoria enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her four-year-old dachshund, Honey. She is an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loves exploring new restaurants and culinary experiences.
